During One-Day Lessons Learnt workshop under the
project “Media Training and Public Sensitization on ECOWAS and Migrants’ Rights”
held in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
Ashanti regional commander of Immigration, ACI
Michael Kwadade said the Ashanti regional division of Immigration is ready to
give key information and leads concerning regular and irregular migrants.
Kwadade referred to Kumasi as a point of transit and
a commercial city which attracts business tycoons, it contributes internal and
external migration which is a critical issue that needs massive attention.
In an interview with the Ashanti Regional commander
of Immigration ACI Michael Kwadade, he said 38 African nationals suspected to
be involving in counterfeit activities have been arrested and are currently at
the headquarters for further investigations.
