Not awarding study
leave with pay to business teachers in senior high school affecting interest in
business education.
That’s according to
the National first Vice President of the Ghana Association of Business
Education Teachers, Samuel Oduro.
Mr. Oduro bemoans
the neglect of business teachers and interest shown to other programs of study
other than the business program.
He said this at the
business durbar to climax the celebration of the business week celebration of
the Effiduase Senior high commercial school.
Meanwhile, Board
chairman of the school, Ishaq Kyei Brobbey, observes business education has
reduced amongst the young.
According to him,
the situation has compelled parents to force their children to take science and
arts programs.
He therefore suggests
a policy direction be instituted to address the trend.
