Food and Drugs Authority cautions companies into Alcoholic beverages to stop force claims that their beverages are medicinal.Some companies and media houses through Live Presenter Mention claim that these beverages are medicinal; the FDA says it’s going to put ban on live presenter mention on alcoholic beverages coming next year.

Kwasi Essien is Chief Regulating officer of the Food and Drugs; he advised that if the alcoholic products were administered as a beverage it shouldn’t be sold as such and not medicine.  Mr. Essien added by some producers claim they use natural herbal extract but hide behind artificial flavors. If they continue to advertise their false claims they shall deal with them accordingly.

She also said consumers shouldn’t buy products which they are not conversant with especially products which they can’t read the expiry date or the language written.  They should be on alert for expired product and alert the FDA.
